We are incredibly grateful to the organisations that support our cause. With their advice, assistance and collaboration, we have been able to rapidly develop and grow into who we are today.
Edinburgh Innovations is the University of Edinburgh’s commercialisation service. They lead the University’s activities in industry engagement and business development, enterprise support for students and staff, and the identification, management and commercialisation of University intellectual property. With their sustainable business advice, Augment Bionics has taken the initiative to transform from a student society into an independent young enterprise.
Entering and winning competitions is an essential way for us to gain experience and feedback as well as valuable funds so we can keep on innovating. Below are some organisations we'd like to thank for recognising our hard work!
RBS Pre Accelerator
The Royal Bank of Scotland Accelerator programme has been tailored to empower entrepreneurs at any stage. It’s an amazing journey that is fully funded for any entrepreneur who wants to grow. Here we found the insight, support and challenge to take our business further, faster, including access to legal and tech advice as well as bespoke events.
Student Experience Grant
The Student Experience Grants are one-off contributions of up to £5,000 to support innovative projects and initiatives that will enhance students’ social, academic, intellectual, entrepreneurial, sporting or cultural development.
We believe in supporting projects that will help students to grow. Providing the resources and opportunities that allow students to make the most of their time at the University will benefit the whole community as they harness this experience and build on it in their careers.
Inspire Launch Grow
Inspire Launch Grow is Edinburgh Research and Innovation’s showcase of entrepreneurial talent of staff and students at the University of Edinburgh. The Augment Bionics team have received one-to-one advice from our business advisers, helping with the business plan and guidance when applying for external funding.
